Nominator's project description
| Dr. Manuel Koch has essentially furthered the knowledge of structure and function of the extracellular matrix through the identification and characterization of several new proteins of the laminin, collagen and netrin families. His ongoing biological studies employing animal models deficient in these proteins are expected to lead to an increased understanding of normal tissue functions and also yield insights into inherited connective tissue diseases. |
